Silent City, 2022
What does the city say when the advertisements fall silent? Developed during an artistic residency in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Silent City mixes advertisements from politicians on the campaign trail with models and professionals selling products and services. The impossibility of precisely distinguishing one from the other invites reflection on how susceptible we are to being influenced by images that are as standardized as they are empty.
