The book \u201cThe Color Scale of Things\u201d, of Let\u00edcia Lampert released in Porto Alegre, Brazil, has the main merit of bringing a series of discussions made by the focused subject, and by how the graphic project was developed. The union of both fields creates an undeniable visual impact.
\nThe content is the presentation of three literal photos of diverse things, not losing the poeticism though. It is the case of the lemon yellow, or the honey color, literally represented by those elements. The color becomes tangible, referenced for instance by an animal (canary yellow), metal (golden yellow) or fruit (avocado green).
\nRegarding the form, there is a call-up of the Pantone Color Guide. A system used internationally to help printers, publishers, designers and artist to reach a specific color during the graphic process. The proposed scale creates a rainbow when the book \u2019s pages are quickly moved by just one hand.
\nThe spectrum goes from the violet flower to \u201cthe color of the donkey when fleeing\u201d (a Brazilian popular expression for an undefined color), in a range that shows good mood, observation and an excellent relationship between the word (the name of the color) and the image (the color itself). An intense work is born from the healthy dialog of those elements, helping us to see better the color scale of our lives.<\/p>\n
